What healthy foods should I buy at the grocery store?!

Question: I have to be in my sister's wedding in 3 weeks and I really want to eat well in the next 3 weeks and be as fit as possible on the big day. Any ideas what I could pick up at the grocery store?

I work full-time and go to school so I don't have time to cook huge meals. I need easy snack type things. That can be heated in a microwave or don't need to be cooked at all. So please don't suggest something like steamed veggies.

Start reading labels and look for foods that have the highest protein grams per serving and the lowest fat grams per serving. For between meals, fresh veggies and fruit will give you the carbohydrate boost without fat.

I could tell you the things I like but that might not be what floats your boat. Take the time to go to your store and look at what is available for you.

You say you want to be fit. That has to do with diet and exercise. Make time for at least 30 minutes of walking every day to more efficiently use the food you do eat. If your picture is any indication, you already exercise...it is just a matter of finding time to eat healthily.

Go on a non saturated fat diet if you need to lose weight fast. That's the worst fat to eat, and you just have to do your homework on what products are low on saturated fat.

Buy about 5 apples, 5 peaches (not in a can), 5 nectarines, 5 plums, 1 container of strawberries, 1 bag of grapes.
1-2 pack(s) of yogurt
Lettuce and low fat dressing to make a salad
Fat free butter (for random things like toast)
2 gallons of spring water
You don't need to exercise with this plan!
I hope that I helped. =] Good luck

Just buy real food. Eat raw veggies and just stay away from processed food.Don't eat any fast food and drink LOTS of water.

As far as taste and managing diets, those Eating Right meals at Vons are brilliant! They taste good and are about 350 calories a pop. I usually like to eat those for lunch or dinner. Other than that, it's all about fruits, veggies, and yogurt.
Try to stick to 5 small meals a day to boost your metabolism. Then you'll be able to process your meals better as well.
