Overweight?!


Question: i am 5 7....15 years old ...180 BUT i work out alotmainly on my muscles so i am pretty muscular for a girl i play sports all year round does that mean i am over weight cuz i THINK alot of it might be muscle .....yess i am a little chubby i know so yes some poundage comes from that....

OK here is all you have to do.
Eat a healthy breakfast every day with good sources of fats, protein AND carbs.

By eating a HEALTHY breakfast you set your metabolism in high gear right away. ANYBODY who skips breakfast slows their metabolism down for the whole day making is so much easier to get fat.

Do not eat any refined sugar if you can help it. if you do you will get fatter even if you cut down on the actual fats in your diet.

sugar and other highly refined foods trigger massive amounts of insulin to be released which is also the fat storage hormone.

drink plenty of water every day and especially before a meal as it helps digestion to absorb more nutrition, it fills you up so you don't over eat at each meal and you're body will never "HOLD WATER" if it gets what it needs thru out the day.

That's good your into working out but your already concerned about having too much fat so maybe change your routine up or change some weight workouts into some HIIT cardio ones High Intensity Interval Training (google it)

H.I.IT is the most effective way to burn fat ever regardless of what any "fitness expert" will tell you. I prefer mine on a spin bike and never more than 25 minutes, but make sure you're still lifting 2 times a week.

Also stay away from any type of diet pills, the best thing is just healthy nutrition and consistant EFFECTIVE training in the gym.

I'd also go and look for some sports nutrition books and read as much as possible on STRENGTH training. (toning a muscle is still building it)

OK a little tip for you... right up there with the thing about yellow snow... girl+muscles=not sexii

don't worry about it. your body is still changing a lot. exercise but eat lots of protein an calcium. girls really need it at your age. good luck!

If you're "a little chubby" then yes, you're overweight. You should keep a food diary to find out what you're eating that's keeping the weight on you.

I know everybody's gonna call me a b**** for this, but if you don't get control of your weight now, it only gets harder as you get older.

Don't listen to mustafa. If you are very active and feel good about you self than your weight is were it should be. Athletic girls are sexy because they look good and move with grace and confidence.

Muscle weighs more then fat, so that's probably why. You shouldn't worry about it, like one of my friends says, "It's all about how your proportioned." Everyone's different, so if your working out on your muscles, that's probably why, sounds good to me. :]

are you trying to be a body builder? HELLO im 5'8 at 112lbs and i'm a male! you do know that after you stop working out and bulking your muscles that it will turn to fat and flab NASTY!! you need to do cardio and yoga.
