We eat a lot, and don't exercise enough.

Yes, unfortunately this country is quite "fat" and I would blame it partially (note I say, "Partially") on technology. Kids nowadays would often rather be in front of the tv, computer, or video games than outside playing like when I was a kid. It's a shame.
i see fat ones just driving around the block. no need for airfare. then again, i'm a fat one too.
As some one coined, "Americans live in a food toxic environment." Meaning that there is so much cheap, marginally nutritious food readily available that it is making people sick. Obesity is definitely at epidemic proportions, just look at the number of terribly overweight children.
First of all...The USA isn't a continent. It's a country. Second of all... the lifestyle is different. Asian people eat a lot of vegetables and fish, Europeans generally eat smaller portions and a lot of them ride bikes and walk instead of driving. Africans...well, no need to explain there. Americans...we have a McDonalds on every street corner.

In US and other western countries, the general built of the people is more. Their average height , weight and appearance is very much higher/greater than the Indians or asians.
So a little bit of increase in weight , appears to the people travelling for the time especially, as "obese"....
It is also a known fact that, the incidence of "obesity" is higher in those parts of the world.

well i live in California and my town is soooooo small that we only have a subway her and about 10 gyms and population is about 2,000 ppl and there are only about 2 kids in my whole school who r overweight but i think it depends on the city and our town has these running marathons every month
but i don't think USA has the most obese ppl
