How much should i lift if i just want my arms tone and not big and buff?!
Question: Erika and Styler nailed it. Building huge muscles takes more than just lifting heavy weights. It requires eating tons and tons of calories per day. It requires eating tons and tons of protein per day.
Bottom line: If you're not eating to get big and bulky, then you won't get big and bulky. Lift heavy and hard, and you'll get the toned look that you're seeking.
Good luck!

As much weight as you can. Seriously, do a google search on it. There is no evidence that girls lifting heacy weights get "bulky" and in fact, it is impossible for a normal female to look like what you are afraid of without performance enhancing drugs (steroids). I know I didn't believe it either but I swear it's true and there are tons and tons of info out there to prove it. Let me know if you want the site of my favorite woman who blogs with pics and medical evidence of this...
just do as many pushups they tone your muscles and make you stronger
Happy New Years
Less weight with more reps will get your arms tone
More weight with less reps gets you buff
Erika is right.
Lift heavy enough weight to feel the burn after about 12 reps.
You will not get buff.
Less weight and more reps will do what you want. More weight and less reps will give you more bulk.
