Power lifting?!


Question: Where can i go with this?? Am i really any good??

I just dont want to be wasting my time doing something that isnt going to get me anywhere.

squat- 225 ( not a max. )
dead lift - 200 ( max )
bench - 105 ( max )
Body weight - 102lbs.
Age - 15
Grade - 10th

These are great stats for starters. Most people cannot bench their bodyweight, especially women. If you're interested in taking up powerlifting you should train like a powerlifter, and preferably find a powerlifting coach or trainer. The mechanics of powerlifting moves are different from bodybuilding moves and bodybuilding moves is what most people do, so that's where a trainer would help. Also, the workout will be different, typically lower reps, heavier weight and more rest between sets and can include workouts like speed work and singles and triples. Often you can incorporate tools as you advance such as rubber bands, chains and wood blocks.

You're good for your weight. Work harder and gain some weight to see bigger results.

i cant tell from amount you are lifting as it depends on how many reps you can do.
most people do 5 set of 10 reps and exercise different muscle groups on different days. does that help?
