Who thinks that all this health diet things are a bunch of jack?!

Question: I hear all the time about the next best health routine and everything else that you all probably hear. But, while I see there arguments, I think that people put too much emphasize on this.

I am a Hispanic with sight cholesterol, slightly above average BMI index [it considers me obese], with a height of 5'9 and a weight probably around 200 and waist size of 33. I don't eat vegetables all to often, eat meat like nothing else, and exercise only as my life demands it. I enjoy all the luxuries of life, candy, coke, popcorn etc. without a doubt. And I feel I am generally in good health.

All around I hear of people complaining about their bodies, I say...live it the way you want, enjoy it, maintain an active lifestyle working, playing, resting, etc. and don't stress. Who needs to be counting ever last calorie or jogging an extra five miles for a snickers bar?

Am I crazy or is this a decent life's goal?

youre right
but certain people have certain goals, and judgemental people are overtaking our society. people are self conscious about their bodies, i know i am and it isnt an important thing to worry about but the fact is we do worry.

NO. All this diet and exercise crap are BULL****! Do what you want.

What's crazy is that my tax dollars have to help pay for people who have heart attacks or other issues related to their health. If you don't want to take care of yourself, that's fine. But why should I have to pay for "disability" for someone just because they are overweight? Being fat is not a disease - it's a result of poor ongoing food choices. It's fine to live it up. Some people are heavier but exercise and are in decent shape healthwise. However, as they age, all of it will slowly catch up to them and they may find themselves in a sad situation. And why should I have to pay for that?

You sound just like my brother. He eats whatever he wants and doesn't gain weight; better metabolism Idk. Then he rolls his eyes when I look at the nutrional analysis of something. I watch what I eat and I work out every day; not because I'm obsessed or anything, but because it makes me feel and look better. I don't feel that I'm crazy and not enjoying life because I eat healthfully and exercise; I feel that I'm improving it. It's just food! Eating junk food isn't one of life's luxuries in my opinion.

Yes you are right.Unless you are so fat that your health is affected, also BMI is so full of crap, most of the worlds top rowers and boxers are obese according to BMI.

You have to take care of your body. It can take more abuse when you're younger but it WILL catch up on you. You'll come to a point where all the decadent behavior takes a serious toll on your health. I don't believe in all these popular diets either but I do watch what I eat, I do exercise and I do limit the intake of things that are known to be bad for me. I have three kids and I don't want to deliberately shorten my time alive with them. Take care of yourself. You only get one body.

people do this because they want to look better and also feel better. also if you eat too much junk, then when ya old, you will probably die younger or just have more chance of getting heart disease etc.
