Has anyone tried Alli?!

Question: was it successful? did it work?

Answers: was it successful? did it work?

Alli is yet another scheme to try to sell people a diet in a pill. It has been known to cause severe discomfort, stomach cramps, constipation or diarrhea, among other not-so-pleasant side effects. Some scientists believe that it causes you to lose vital nutrients from the foods you eat.

Sure, it may work for a bit, but when you continue to eat unhealthy foods you will gain any weight you lose back.

The better plan is to eat healthy and nutritious food. You will look and feel better. Check out the Eating Clean Diet by Tosca Reno and leave dangerous diuretics and who-knows-what-else alone.

If you just cut out bread, pasta, spuds, rice and sugar for a bit you'll lose weight.

Cut out rice? With a protein to fat ratio of almost 10/1, you'd be better off cutting out other things and leaving the rice on your plate. Some say brown rice is better for you, but the ratio isn't quite as good as white. It has 3 times the fat content, and only a few grams more protein than white.

Then there is the fact that rice contains all of the 8 essential amino acids. Your body requires 16 amino acids to build muscle tissue. 8 are called essential because they cannot be produced inside the body, while the other 8 are.
