Do you get annoyed at weight gain questions?I?!

Question: I guess it's childish of me, but it's hard for me to not have a slightly negative reaction to, "How can I put weight on? I've been eating fast food five times a day, but I'm still 102 lbs."

What do you think?

I'm sorry, but I think it is childish. For people who have suffered from being underweight, like myself, putting on weight is as difficult for large people to lose weight. On my twenty-first birthday, I weighed 125 pounds. I managed to push my weight up to 140. I just recently started my routine again and I'm now up to 157 at age 26.

My routine: Protein shakes, 4 days of heavy weightlifting and cardio for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. I do benches, deadlifts, squats, you name it.

Any people complain when I tell them I'm trying to gain weight, I tell them my routine and ask them if they're trying as hard to lose it. Most of the women who complain have a routine that consists of trying to eat a yogurt for lunch, never working out, and gorging on chocolate left in the faculty lounge.

Why Certainly: Okay, I get it. For the record, I never do that. If I ever mention how much I'm eating, it's out of frustration. For example, "I can't believe I ate all that 'blah' and I'm not seeing any results!" I'm sorry if I'm a little punchy over it, but for underweight guys, it can very frustrating. Struggles with weight can go both ways. I guess I just get frustrated that nobody takes weight gain issues seriously. When I was underweight, I could become dizzy during physical strain and suffer from similar symptoms that people who are overweight experience. Over and underweight, they're both problems and I don't think we should fight over it. It'd be nice if they all banded together and helped each other out, you know? Support all around!

They are so annoying!!!

Everyone has there problems. If you are to fat people talk crap if you are thin everyone thinks you are anorexic. There just seems to be no happy medium anymore.

Me, I'm happy with my weight if you don't like the way I look then stop looking.

eating fast food five times a day is going to give you a heart attack ...............eat a big, but healthy breakfast for starters......try more whole wheat carbs

dont find this ridiculous
but weight training with heavy reps do help
it doesnt automatically turn u into a beastly woman
in fact there ar plenty of female celebrities that
weight train that looks spectacularly sexy

Girls who are underweight have just as hard a time as those who are overweight. They face just as much criticism and it hurts their feelings, too.

Losing weight, gaining weight, whether it is truly necessary or not, it's all part of the same spectrum - a negative body image.

We know so little about anybody's true situation here on Answers. I'm sure you'd be more sympathetic if you knew the 'twiggys' were suffering with real problems.

2nd reply: Well, of course you have reason to be indignant if you can tell the questioner is deliberately taunting.
