So far today I've pied out on half a box of celebrations. and the gym was shut .

That is fine! It is the holidays anyway! I have this problem. I like to binge out on food sometimes. However, the best way to lose weight is to exercise. Even if it is just a little. I like to turn on the radio and dance with my son. We both have blast doing it, and it teaches him not to care what others think.

Just try harder and don't give up, you have all year.

Essentially it's a lack of self control. Learn to control your eating, and you'll learn to have a better diet.

Start over tomorrow. Portion your food by the serving size instead of cutting out favorties. Cut down on sugars. NO SODA, lots of water, it helps you detox!

Its the new year. Relax and chill lol.
If you want to go on a diet exercise and eat healthier or get an instructor to help u out

Try agian tomarrow and keep trying until you achive your goals. I want to lose weight also.

I had same feeling today...but it is new years day and i resovled to start after the party season i.e. tomorrow and have ordered myself a rowing machine from tesco direct 35 quid. wonderful bargain. Also got husband a stepper machine which is great fun and quite cheap. Cheaper than the gym. id never go as i am so fat compared to the sticks in there!

thats why dont make resoulutions then dont have to worry about breakin them

you have to be willing to make a lifestyle change- then you will becom mroe healthier

just run 5 miles 8 times a week.

Don't keep any junk food like pies in your house. That way you cant eat any junk food.

have a positive attitude
the reason you can't diet is because you're telling yourself you can't diet

hang in there because this resolution will take time

I can't help youwith this one, just stay away from the fattening stuff.

its all mental. you have to want it and make a commitment. pick time when you will exercise and dont break it

I want to lose weight too. Its all about how you do it. You put forth an effort that the first step. Keep going!

you are looking and using any excuse. You could have gone walking or something to make an effort, however, you have to retrain yourself, don't set yourself up for failure. Baby steps. as long as those steps progress to giant steps.

Willpower. No one made you eat those celebrations. You did it on your own.

Dieting is not always the answer. You diet to be skinny because you think that is what looks good. You can run around the neighborhood, do situps and pushups, or anything else that keeps you off the couch or eating. Not everybody can diet. Use smaller plates, chewing food more, more water, exercise, etc.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U need to be commited, resillient and strong. You can't just say u want to loose the weight, you have to actually put ur mind to it

You just have to resist the temptation! Keep reminding yourself when your getting ready to eat something you shouldnt that you dont need it! Ask yourself am i really hungry? Or do i just feel like im hungry? And if you are going to pig out a LITTLE bit on something atleast make sure its as healthy as can be!

Dont give up so fast! Just cz you ate some bad things doesnt mean you should stop! Continue to eat good for the rest of the day and try to work out at home. Tomorrow you can officially start over again.
Most diets dont work because you give up so keep going! Its just a road block not a dead end!

Leave it until April as you need to keep the winter woollies on anyway which hide the extra pounds - it's when warmer weather arrives and the skimpy clothing that weight loss will be required!

Enjoy the chocs as we need the fat layer to keep us warm through the cold weather, without adding to global warming by having the heating on !!

Sort out you head and your heart first and then the diet will take care of itself

Gee. Everyone knows that New Year resolutions don't count until you go back to work after the Festive break...

I went from 296 to 250 in about 6 and 1/2 months.
Following mom's death, depression, and the meds doc put me on, put a lot of weight on. I began walking every day for no less than 45 minutes at a time. I stopped drinking soda, and cut the breads and pasta intake by half. Instead of having a ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce and tomato, I would have a salad with a slice of ham and cheese.
What it really comes down to is patience though. Patience with yourself mostly. If you mess up on Monday, start again on Tuesday. Don't get down on yourself for every little flub you make.
