Do I have a lot of body fat(am i fat)?!


Question: I used the device(IDK what you call it)and it said I'm 31% body fat...and my thigh is 21 inches and my waist is 25 inches...by the way my hips are 30 inches and I'm 5 feet.........sorry I don't have any pics.

It's hard to say since you don't know what the device was. Some of those devices are accurate and some are way off. Some can be fooled based on salinity and hydration levels. I believe the best way to measure body fat is the dip test, the second best is the pinch test calculation with the calipers.

31% is not too high. Female athletes have b/w 14-20% Girls who are into fitness generally have b/w 21-24%, Acceptable range is 25-31% Which means you're at the cusp.

Another site is saying that acceptable range is b/w 21-25%. Which puts 31% over the range.
