Question: Im ten and in 5th grade. Last year i weighed 69 pounds this year 75 i have so much extra fat and im afaird to go back to school on monday. What should I do?

75 Pounds??? Wow...I can't even remember the time I was 75 pounds. It really depends how tall you are but your not fat. You have to like yourself for who you are.

At ten years old...you probably need to think about other things instead of weight. 75 pounds for a ten year old is a good weight. Go hang out with friends and get over this stuff...it comes way to soon to start worry at 10!

75 pounds isn't that bad. Just eat healthier and exercise.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Junk food will make you feel bloated.

You are totally over exaggerating and you are quite selfless and disgusting. You should not be worrying about these things while you are 10 years old.

How tall are you? You are ten years old, you really shouldn't be worrying about your weight at your age. You've only put on 6 lbs which is normal, you're growing outwards and upwards as you'll be starting to go through puberty soon.
So long as you are over like 3 ft you're the perfect, healthy weight for your body. If you're too skinny it'll make you sick.

your only 10. you dont need to worry. when you start to go thru puberty and get curves you will grow into the "extra fat"

Don't feel like that last year i was in 5th grade too and i weighted 92 pounds and this year am in 6th grade and i weight 102 pounds ( the problem is that your just growing up your bones get bigger and makes your caleries go up so you don't have to really worry)

You're probably just getting ready for a growth spurt. My son gets "fluffy" : ) then thin within days. It's amazing.

You're probably also getting ready to do some major developing. You'll get larger breasts and your hips might fill out a little, but it's all part of becoming a woman.

my "Freinds" and i used to worry about junk like that. ur not overweight. but u start to feel that way in 7 grade when you are 100 pounds. ("Freinds"= crappy freinds who really hate you and think u r their stalker.)

Doesn't your mommy see that you're getting big? Ask her to help you. Ask her to feed you more veggies and fruits. Cut out snacks and go swimming everyday or something.

Go to school and don't be embarrassed because if you try hard enough you'll be slim soon again.~ Good luck.

Your being ridiculus. Its normal to gain weight when your getting older. You shouldnt be so worried, your just growing up and starting to get curves. Its perfectly okay. 6 pounds is barely anything. Be confident in yourself.

ur not fat that is the average weight dont feel bad about it. its not what is on the outside its whats on the inside that counts! :)

first of all, your not fat hun.
i weight probaily twice as much as you but besides the point.
your growing and its natural for your body to gain weight when you young.
you need those extra pounds to grow and if you think u look fat now you will grow into ur weight.
but if you want to lose weight these are some ideas.
Youuu cannnn...
-do 100 jumping jacks - burns 52 calories
-do 100 sit ups - burns about 50 calories
-running - can burn up too 400 calories
you can work out orrrr.....
you can eat more healthier
try eating only fruits and vegies for a week
it will make u feel better and look better.

First of all you are too young to be worried about being fat. You are still growing. You will slim down later. But if you really want to lose weight, cut down on your carbs and fats. Do not eat added sugars, breads, pastas or potatoes. Eat lean meats, fish, veggies and fruits, and whole grains. Drink 64 oz of water per day to help with weight loss. Also exercise 30 min per day doing aerobics or running at least 5 times a week. This will help you get back to your 69 lb. range.

It will be good for you to get back to school so you don't have so much time to worry about your weight. I think you're just bored because come on, 75lbs is not fat and you know it.

i don't know what the average weight for a ten year old is but you shouldn't worry no matter what. i'm pretty chubby but i still look good and guys notice that. plus being chubby is not the first thing on my mind cuz there are so many other things you should be worrying about but i don't think that 75 pounds is a lot anyway. you shouldn't worry about it too much. if it really bothers you talk to someone you know about and have them help you either diet or feel good about the way you are.

age ten is to young to be worrying about that. boys arn't even looking at girls really in grade five and lots of girls who are a little fat (not saying you are) when they're young loose it all and become quite attractive by age 15 and up. 75 pounds is not fat it is skinny but if you really do feel fat just wear baggy clothes until you feel good about your self that's what i used to do :)

That's only 6 lbs! Chill out! Of course, you can always turn to Anorexia -- it never lets you down.

you should definitely loose weight because you're getting obese and that's a) unhealthy and b) nobody will like you. Work out, watch your diet, eat healthy. For short term success throwing up after each meal may help, though it's not a very healthy way to loose weight.
