Ipepac- will they seel it to me?!
Question: i'm a 15 y.o. girl( 5"6.5 and 118lbs if it helps) .Will chemists sell ipepac to me and would they have any right to deny it?

Ipecac is VERY dangerous. It's like playing Russian Roulette; one of the times you take it, it will almost certainly kill you. It can give you a heart attack and you can die. DO NOT take it.
It has been taken off the counter at many pharmacies because of its danger. It was sold as an emetic to give to people, mostly children, to make them vomit chemicals ingested accidentally when the risk of digesting the chemical was greater than the risk of the ipecac. Now that we have much better methods of taking care of overdose, etc, ipecac has been, to my knowledge, put behind the pharmacy counter for emergencies. The pharmacist and the drug store clerk, I believe, have the right to refuse to sell it to you.
Either way, you should NOT take ipecac.
You put this in diet and fitness, so that is a hint to me that your plan is to use it to make yourself vomit after meals in hopes of losing weight. Purging will not make you lose weight. Taking ipecac once, let alone repeatedly, is extremely dangerous. The stress it puts on your heart is unbelievable. I can't stop you from purging, and I might get flamed for this, but if you're going to purge, don't use ipecac to do it. Purging is dangerous all on its own, but using ipecac for it is an instant death wish.
You are young and thin, if that matters. Please do not start this.
When I was 12 or 13, when ipecac was still readily available, I thought I was a freaking genius... I was anorexic but had a thought that I could eat if I could just throw it up right after I ate it. So I ate, then ran to Walgreens, bought the ipecac, took it... and had one of the worst experiences of my life. My body was on fire and it hurt SO MUCH. I cannot express to you the pain I was in. You'll want to die while you're throwing up, it's that bad. It's not worth it.
If you're totally set on purging, find another way to do it, or don't do it at all. Please please please.
