I dont want my weight to ruin my dream?!


Question: im 17 n over weight ~(13stone 10) my dream is to join the police force. I have been looking into joining the RAF but know im no way fit enough i dont want it to ruin my cereer and dreams im sooo tring to loos weight by exercising and eating healthy but its soo hard tring to do it all and keep up with my a level please help!!!!

You mean police offers aren't fat in Wales? Just move to America... you'll fit right in!

Honestly, depending on your height, I doubt 13 stone & 10 is that overweight (to other Americans reading, 1 stone = 14 lbs). You may be a bit big, but certainly not obese... not even "fat", really. "Chunky" at most.

Just keep eating healthy and exercising and working out and everything else. Just get yourself in shape. It may be hard, but it's worth it to acheive what you want, isn't it? As long as you're in shape enough to handle your job, I don't see the problem... if anything, I've always thought it was better for police officers to be a bit big, if only for intimidation factor. Slender builds are generally reserved for detectives, forensic specialists, etc... ie: the ones who rarely have to deal with physical altercations.

So just keep working at it and keep your eyes on the prize... Eventually you'll get there, and it'll all be worth it in hindsight. Good luck!

It might be hard initially but if you're determined, you will make it. Continue to do what you're doing. Keep it up!

Try your best to consider this, your healthy eating is going to help u live your life, it shouldn't be the biggest stress, if u have dreams follow them, if u settle for the other side of it , bad unhealthy diet u just might never reach your dreams. So continue eating healthy and exercise and make it fun, and gosh enjoy this life, these are little makers of challenges, u will loose your weight but u will have to continue with eating healthy for life, its just the better choice for good health.
