Question: and how does it work??? ive heard of burning more calories then you take in, and something about not to eat more calories then you can burn...im not sure OH and how long do you have to excerise to know youve burn those calories i know some excerise machines can tell you but not all can and not every excerise needs to be on a machine so can anyone help???

Eat 10 cals. for every desireable pound of bodyweight. If you want to weigh 120 pounds, eat 1200 cals. a day.
To lose weight, fall short of 1200 cals.

if you are looking for weight loss it is Eat less and burn more. Move your body more in general and cut down on your portions sizes. Don't focus on what the machine says for how many calories you may have burned. They are usually very inaccurate. Instead focus on your target heart rate and the time spend there. Should be for at least 30 min.
