How do you stay motivated while excercising and dieting?!

Question: I am working hard to lose 20 pounds and sometimes I just get depressed when I get on the scale and see I have not lost any pounds or the loss has been minimal - like 1 pound. Grrrrrr!

The scale can be a nasty thing......I try not to weigh* myself other than once a week at the same time, in the morning.

everyones body is different, you've watched "the biggest loser" and while some are losing 10lbs or 13 lbs in one week others only lose 1 or 2 lbs that week and they all have worked their butts off at the gym and through proper eating...It all depends on Your body*

Just keep on working at it...try not to get depressed or discouraged....

Drink Plenty of Water everyday (6-8 glasses)

Eat 5-6 times a day (every couple of hours)
so...breakfast..healthy.snack, lunch, healthy snack, supper, sml. snack and DO NOT EAT AFTER 7-8pm* at night

Chicken, fish, protein, lean meats, beans, leguimes,
fresh fruit and fresh vegetables

use Whole Wheat Pasta, whole wheat bread, whole wheat rice....

and Exercise......walk, run/jog, bike ride, work out at gym, dancersise, use the ball*..........but get up and do some form of activitiy to bring the heart rate up :)

Keep on Smilin* You Can do this!* Keep your determination of your goal in your mind and build your strength from that~

Your Hard work WILL PAY OFF* so keep on going*
Best wishes*

Well you just have to have the right mentality. Don't weigh yourself as often. Well Good Luck!

You must have a goal in order to keep yourself motivated while exercising and dieting. I know it's tough, but set your mind into achieving that goal, say if I really want to trim down, then I must continue this regimen... something like that. Just like in a race, you must cross the finish line. Always put that into mind and you'll likely succeed.

I agree with Kely!

Well I find that if I stay eating healthy and exercising then I wont get off track because I will have like momentum to keep going because I know I have been doing good so far.

Well, sometimes the body doesnt lose weight as fast, maybe try to change up your exercise routine(and maybe you are cheating on the food eating?).

Deffinetely dont get emotional, just know that in time it will come and be happy with any success. Make sure you are being healthy and exercising regulary and it all will come off, for sure. you just might be in what doctors call a platuea. LIke I said earlier, change up your eating habits and routines. Or ask your doctor.

Music, music music music!
Something that will get the adrenaline in you pumping.
