Squats and leg curls are the great exercises for the butt and the legs. If you want a really well toned butt than do squats at least twice a week. Leg curls exercise your hamstrings, and this helps to give your legs a full and muscular look.

But, you need to be very careful because squats can be dangerous. If you don't know how to do them properly have somebody show you, and then spot you. the biggest mistake people make is to buckle their knees and that can cause serious damage.


Also, don't forget to work your calves. People tend to forget how important your calves are. You should do standing and sitting calf raises and keep your reps in the 15-20 range. The reason you can work your calves with such intensity is that they are endurance muscles, they're designed to be used that way.
