Question: Hey I just recently entered college at the weight of 180. I am 5'11. After 1 quarter I weigh 190 pounds. I need to be ready for a pool party with my high school friends in 2 months. My goal is to get down to 160 pounds in 2 months. Is this a realistic goal. Im willing to do whatever it takes.

Yes, you can do it but its going to end up killing your body. Don't yo-yo diet. The smartest thing you can do is eat healthy and work out. If you cut down on too many foods, once you lose the weight you'll gain it all back. Trust me, I've done this a lot.
But in mid-October, I joined LA weight loss and they have helped me fix my portion sizes and stuff and right now, I'm 25 lbs down even though I cheat sometimes. Your goal may be feasible if you start eating right, get proper food and stop eating junk. I gained weight in college too so it really isn't about the weight, what you need to do is have a lifestyle change and start eating better and making time to go to the gym or do something active.
I would say for the next few months, have three to four servings of starches, one or two servings of dairy, three servings of protein, and three to four servings of vegetables and three two four servings of fruits. Lower your sodium and sugar levels. Use splenda and drink diet (if at all). Drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Eat protein in the morning and don't eat starches till after noon. Work out for at least twenty minutes one day and an hour the next day, giving yourself a day or two of rest every week.
Two months isn't a terribly short amount of time so I'd say if you got right on it, you'll probably end up looking better than you did before you left school.

2lb a week is a healthy realstic weight loss, with more chance of you keeping it off in the long run.
