Will pilates give me the same results as weight training would?!

Question: Also, if I don't have the resources to join a gym, how can I make sure I have good form for either of these activities.

No, not really Pilates will help you to build a strong core and tone what you have. Weight training will help you too do the same but build more muscle as well. Get a good palates dvd and do it in your home follow it closely and have somone watch you to make sure you are doing the movements correct, start off slowly and build your core. I recomend the winsdor system she is very very good and it works.

no. pilates is more for balance

Pilates is about lengthening and tightening the muslce, where weight training is more about size and definition. You will not get the same results, although they do both provide results.

As far as doing it at home, I don't know I wonder the same thing...
