Do protein and meal replacement bars help on a diet?!


Question: just want to know everyones opinion on meal replacement bars. every once in a while if im on the go ill grab one instead of a candy bar or ill grab one for breakfast instead of doughnuts and such. are they good for you?

They're much better in terms of being more nutrient dense than doughnuts or candy. Some of them are made by companies that use alot of crappy ingredients so make sure you look at the ingredients (avoid hydrogenated oil). Just use them for convenience and not as a replacement of your regular solid whole meals. Look for ones that contains vitamins and minerals, low in sugar, and moderate in protein Meal replacement bars will be higher in calories than regular protein bars which are usually lower in carbs.

most are packed with vitamins, minerals, and plenty of protein to get you back in the gym in no time.

so yes... they are good for you

I count a protein bar and a protein rtd meal replacement shake as a meal in my 6-7 meals a day diet
