PLease solve my workout related doubt-IN gym?!


Question: Hi buddies
I have been doing exercises for a week now.I am 5"7,male,inbetween skinny and plump,but have tummy.My trainer has given me a 20 minutes cardio+abs and 40 minutes weight training.I do these all the six days.but I have a doubt---Is it enough if I did only 20 minutes of abs and cardio? How can I be able to shed those tummy fats?i just couldn"t understand this and I am confused whether this routine will shed my fats.
OR is this ok?Will i be Burning any calories with my weight training?
PLease help me out?

Your trainer is starting you out slowly with the cardio. Actually this is more like cross training which is the most effective way to workout and lose weight. The trainer my up the cardio over time. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. If you don't see the results you want in a month or two then I would ask your trainer but it's only been a week. Not enough time to make an assessment of your progress.

your trainer is doing the rite thing, combining cardio wth weights is the most efficient way to burn the calories and tone up at the same time.

from my experience with my clients its important to start with the weights first then finish with cardio for best reults. if in doubt check out http://www.myfitmate.com.au and ask one of the personal trainers on there.

If you have a lot of fat around your middle,you have to include cardio to shed it.Your trainer is trying to fit it all into a time frame (the time he spends with you).If you don't think that you are getting enough cardio,why not jump on the elliptical,treadmill,bike,etc.,after your session with him?Its your body,do what you think is necessary to accomplish your goals.
