I am constantly fatigued. What can I do to have more energy? I am in good health!

Question: First of all, ignore the "take steroids" comments, as I assume you will. That's irresponsible for someone to suggest this, if he/she was serious. You should look into your diet. Your body uses food for energy. Do you eat well? Do you exercise? Take vitamins? Do you drink sufficient amounts of water? An excess of toxins in your body can cause fatigue. You should drink 1/2 ounce of plain pure water (not tap water, preferably) for every pound you weigh. So if you weigh 120, you should be drinking 60 ounces of water every day. If your problem is chronic, see a doctor for a blood test. You might be missing nutrients from your diet, or it could be another issue. Good luck!

Ask your doctor for a blood test to check your thyroid function.

eat healthy! eating healthy promotes positive healthy energy! your body will recognize the good foods and burn the energy from it and provide you with what you need to get through the day happy.

B-Complex vitamins work great!

if you were in good health, you would not be constantly fatigued. something is going on.

Believe it or not, exercise increses your energy level.

Eat more energizing things like fruits + veggies. Slow up on the sugar.

Go to bed early and get more sleep, take some pro-plus or caffeine supplements during the day.

try not to stress if you are DONT TAKE ENERGY PILLS OR DRINKS the will make you even worse talk to your doctor and see if he/she can pprescribe something

Try taking a daily multivitamin, such as centrum complete. You could also add certain other vitamins, such as b12 and b1 for energy. Hope this helps.

try coenzyme q10 tablets from your localhealth food shop - these mean that you can release more energy from your food.

Also, the more exercise you do the more energy you should have, it's hard to start off when you are tired but if you push yourself to do some it'll give you a lot more energy.

go to ur docs and ask for some blood tests u may have thyroid disease or anemia

get goods night rest of sleep, eat breakfast, 6 meals a day. maybe even a nap at 3???

no junk food, it kills you

YOU MAY HAVE AN IRON DEFICIENCY...OR IT MAY BE SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE YOU NEED SOME VITAMIN B12

You need to find the reason. Sometimes when I'm feeling that way - I get more exercise and that actually helps alot. (I'm assuming you are getting enough sleep). Also - do you think you may be depresses? That always wears me down.

eat lots of carbs (breads and pastas) also start taking vitamins to help your body catch up with your life-style.

simply to have a health diet including fruits, veges, some daily, some grains, and some protein. also eat all of health carbohydrates

While you're getting your thyroid tested, it would also be a good idea to get a complete blood count, Lyme titer, liver functions, and an Epstein-Barr test.

Have the doctors check your iron levels. You may be iron deficient. If that's the case, a simple iron supplement will give you such a boost. Many women have iron deficiencies and don't even know it.

You are exactly where I was last August. Here's what I did;
1.Full check-up including Full Blood Count. (Slightly anaemic),
2. Reduced simple sugar and caffiene in my diet.
3. Increased protein to twice a day.
4. Moderate exercise for at least 30 minutes will give you a burst of energy better than anything i know., and
5. I now walk more, and sit down much less. (I don't know why this works.)

exercising is a very important key to energy and eating food high in protein is also a important factor. also keeping positive thoughts in your mind can also effect energy. bedrest is also manditory when it comes to energy

water & carbohydrates

First, take a look at your current diet. While you may be eating the proper proportions, you might be eating items that cause a sugar drop, making you fatigued. Try avoiding things high in sugar and/or caffeine. A body can develop a tolerance and/or dependency to caffeine and a reaction to "detox" is fatigue.

Second, look at your workout - if you currently are. You may be pushing yourself too hard and not giving your body time to recover. If you are not working out, look at starting aerobic exercise - running, swimming, walking, etc. - in order to boost your metabolism.

Third, take stock of how your life is going right now. Is there some hidden stress that you have not perceived as a stress inducing action? Even though you may be feeling well at your job or school, there can be underlying issues that can cause fatigue.

Any one of the three above can make you feel fatigued if you are in good health.

Are you eating the right foods? Like lots of fruits and veggies, complex carbs and avoiding high sugar foods that can cause you to crash and burn? Exercise can help boost energy. Do you get enough good sleep - about 7 - 8 hrs?

If you are truly in good health, and don't have an odd sleep schedule, there are several natural foods and drinks that can give you more energy throughout the day. Make sure you're getting enough calories to compensate for the ones you're burning (if you're very active, you might want to up your caloric intake) and DON'T SKIP MEALS. High protein foods can give you an extra boost, as well as carbs. Carbs give you energy quickly, protein will give you a boost later in the day. Begin with a good breakfast, eat small meals throughout the day, drink a lot of water, resist the urge to rely on caffeine, and maybe add some Green Tea to your diet. It's natural and a great way to get a little extra boost. But remember, food can't repair sleep deprivation, so try to get enough rest and stay as consistent with your sleep schedule as possible. I always feel really invigorated after a good run or some good excercise, I think that's one of the best ways to energize.

If you get enougth sleep and eat what your body needs , there should be no problem , if you still tried , this may be more then just something is wrong.

You may have to get a docter to check you out , sounds like you may a have parisite or something of that nature.

Normally if you workout alot , your body lets you know what it needs on day to day basis.I do alot of running and upper body , so protein and carbs is my diet and every so often a fuirt or two.

But everyone is differnt and you may do things such as yoga or things that i have never done.So really idk , but i would get a docter on this one.

Make sure you are getting enough sleep at least 8 hours
cut down your sugar intake and stay off caffeinated drinks
they are among the number 1 "fatigue" causing drinks.
Exercise helps boost you up. So does eating apples in the morning they will give you 3 cups more energy than coffee would without the after affects and drowsiness.
If you are going to take anything make sure it's something natural like B complex Vitamins, Ginseng and Ginkgo
Safe natural products that wont cause side effects.
:)
Best Wishes

P.S
don't take Energy drinks either they bring you down after words
have high amounts of sugar.....
and kill your brain cells. Apples work better.
:)

Take steroids.

ya go see your doctor you may indeed need steroids
