Do walnuts have more omega 3 than fish oil capsules ?!

Question: The label on the walnuts bag said about 18 halves would have 2.5 gram of omega 3 and the capsules of fish oil I take say they have about 0.6 grams per capsule.

Would it make more sense to eat walnuts or does the fish oil have a better combination of DHA/ALA and has better absorption ????

The omega 3 in walnuts, soy products and flax seed products are all ALA which has no brain benefits. Only 5 to 10% of ALA is metabolised to DHA which does have brain benefits.

The omega 3 in fish oil is DHA and EPA and DHA has brain benefits.

ALA, EPA and DHA all have some heart benefits but only DHA has brain benefits, so if you want brain benefits then you need fish oil.
