Weight Watchers.?!

Question: Hi... I recently joined weight watchers and I am having a big problem... I am allowed 48 points... I did very well yesterday... however, today I have felt nothing but hunger... I used 56 points today. I have never felt like this before when I used to eat what ever I want... I drink six 8 oz glasses of water everyday... and I drink Wegmans Black Cherry sparkling water when I am feeling like I am starving... Is this natural to feel like I am being starved... Should I take a food suppressant? I don't want to quit I weigh 320 lbs and I am 6' 0"... the book says I should be 180 - 190 lbs... I want to lose at least 10 percent and get down to 288... but I don't know how to stop feeling so hungry....
Another question I had was if anyone knew of any foods out there that have no points....

It's normal, but you can definately get around the hunger pains if you eat the right things. Eat tons of fiber! It really fills you up! Progresso Vegetable based soups are all 0 points. So you should have one can...and plenty of water with each meal. Plus celery, lettuce, and most water-based vegetables are 0 points too. Make sure you eat something every 3 hours, and make it a hearty meal. That means to space out your points to about 9 points every 3 hours. Lastly, what worked for me is drinking hot tea, and hot broth because it makes you feel full. Like Oprah said, that hunger feeling means you're doing something right!!!

there are these soups that are 0 points

Tomorrow will be a better day I promise. Your going threw the withdrawl of foods and your stomach will start to shrink. If you are worried start eatign 0 point foods like your book suggests..

YOU CAN DO IT :)

fresh greens lettuce, cabbage are mostly considered "free" foods as most of the calories and or fat are burned up during the digestion proccess....i had the same problem i got lazy and tried to lose wieght but was hungry most all of the time after awhile though it will fade and you will feel like a million bucks....jsut hang in there i know how you feel.

are you working out? that'll allow you to eat more.

celery is zero points though...if you get the light popcorn (microwave) you can have a whole bag for one point.

most soups are really low in points too. i would check those out. high in sodium though, so watch that if you have heart issues.

raw mushrooms, celery and cucumbers do not have calories, but you can't be dipping them in ranch dressing. Drink your water COLD which can be negative calories as it will lower your body temperature and help you burn calories. Also use cayenne pepper if you can handle it to spice up your foods this will also help you burn additional calories. If you are really 320 lbs you probably should actually drink a lot more water you can drink up to 160 ounces a day or 1 oz for every 2 lbs. GOOD LUCK

there are several foods that have no points. Also check out the site www.DWLZ.com to get the points of dishes at your favorite restaurant. I have several friends on weight watchers and they have trouble eating all their points sometimes once they discovered all the low point options. Just try to find some foods like oatmeal that are low in points and very filling and have them at least once a day. Eventually your stomach will shrink down and your hunger won't be an issue. Trust me, if you stick with it, it is a great program. My friend has lost 35 points in just 5 months and is half way to her goal and hasn't been working out or starving herself at all.

Totally normal. Go on the website for great info. I know that veggies are free and great for filling you up. The hunger you feel is normal, stick with it after a week it will get better and after 2 weeks you'll no only feel great but start to see a noticable difference its very worth it, so stay strong and fight the cravings with a good book, tv, simple exercise like walking, and yahoo answers of course!

Well try to eat foods that are more filling to you like a hand full of raisins vs. hand full of grapes with the same amount of points, you would pick the grapes because they are bigger in mass and will fill you up more! Also use those 35 points you are allowed each week! When you eat food eat slower because when you eat fast you'll be like well that's it I still hungry but when you eat slower you become full and satisfied! And to answer your second question yeah there are go to walmart or some where and weight watchers provides food with their logo on it that tell you their point values! Just try to keep on track it will be hard but trust me a the weeks go by and the weight begins to come off you'll realize that it was all worth it!

i'm on weight watchers and alot of fruit and vegetables are free as well as alot of diet drinks depending what you like when i feel hungry i sit down and have a big plate of point free fruits which is nearly all fruit i also have meal replacement shakes which are really nice i use the tony ferguson weight loss shakes and soups they are very filling and there are many flavours go to a chemist and see about weight loss shakes terry white chemist has tony ferguson shakes but it depends where you live to what you can get i live in NSW Australia hope that this helps you in some way never give up and always think positive take care and good luck with it all

I am on weight watchers too! Dont give up! The new progresso lite WW soup is zero points and it's actually very good. Try making fruit salads too, those seem to fill me up quick.

It is totally normal to have fluxuations, you may even go completely off plan sometimes. No matter how bad you "blow it" just keep going back - it works if you work it.

I was 367 at my highest, I'm down around 250 now. The biggest trick is to "write it before you bite it".

Even if you know you are going to go off plan, write down what you eat. It inexplicably makes it easier to get back on track, and limits the "damage" done.

What you need to do is fill up your house with 0 point foods you can "Attack" when you have a hunger attack.

My favorites are baby carrots, or pickles. There are whole lists out there about 0 point foods.

Good Luck! Stick with it!
