How many pounds would a person have to lose for it to be noticible?!

Question: A woman say 250 pounds say 5' 10''
or
A woman say 150 pounds and 5' 10"

For a woman of 250, it would probably take around 20.
I lost 25 LB last year and I started at 195. No one really noticed until I hit 20LB loss.

For a woman of 150, it would probably show up at a 10LB loss, simply because she has less to lose than someone over 200. I know when I was 160 and lost 10, it was noticed.

Ugh I hate having been all over the scale in the last 20yrs!! I've been as light as 125 and as heavy as 205, though 205 I was also 9 months pregnant with my 5th child. I'm currently 190, practically back up to where I was last year before I lost 25LB. This time it's going to work! I'm exercising every day, no less than 20 min and no excuses. I've done 40 min a day for 8 days so far!

5

all of them

uhm anything more than 7 pounds is noticable.

a) 10-20 pounds
b)10+ pounds

i think 10 pounds

good question

at 250 you'd have to lose about 20 to notice

at 150, about 5 before you noticed.

probably about 10lbs for both. it may not seem like a lot, but it's noticable.

big diff. there

I hear 5 or more. I notice on myself with one or two though

Around 10 lbs

10

even 5 or 10 pounds would be noticeable on someone of any size--esp in the face.

10-15 pounds to look skinnier

a 250lb woman = 17lb loss

a 150lb woman = dont need to 150 is perfectly fine :)

at least 20 for people to ask you have u lost weight

weight dosen't really matter but for 250 about 20-25 pounds at least and for 150 about 10-15 pounds

10 pounds, to make the slightest difference.

40lbs to be noticeable.

i would say close to 20 pounds. i lost 10 pound. i went from 140 to 130 and no one could tell!!! my pants did fit loser though.

the 150 pound woman would have too lose 5 pounds the 250 pound woman would have too lose least 40 for any one too notice

its all in the waist

I agree with T-Dawg

for a 250 pound woman 15+lbs
for a 150 pound woman 5-10lbs

I would think a woman 250 lbs at 5'10" would have to lose 20 lbs and the woman 150 lbs at 5' 10" would have to lose 10 lbs for it to be noticeable.

it might take 20 lbs for anyone else to notice a 250 lbs woman lost weight (though she may notice long before herself),

but only like 5-8 for a 150 lbs woman I would say

Depends on body type and bone structure. Probably about 5-10 pounds

for someone to really say "wow" 20 lbs....i lost 45lbs. while i went to school and no one said anything till i lost around 20..so20lbs..yup

around ten.
that's how my mom was, and people started to notice after ten pounds

I'd say 5 pounds. I've heard 5 pounds is about the size of 5 pounds of sugar. So look at the 5 pound bag of sugar to get an idea, and I think weight loss starts at the top and works its way down.
