Creatine is pointless if you're trying to lose weight. I'm not against supplements at all (in fact, I've taken creatine, Nitric Oxide, Gakic, Leukic, Anator p70 and other stuff), but in your case, I wouldn't advise creatine. All those supplements (including creatine) are designed to help skinny guys get bigger, not the other way around. Besides, all the creatine supplements that work (i.e. the Muscletech line) also contain an insane ammount of dextrose (sugar) to create and insulin spike and aid in absorbsion. They usually boost your appetite and may actually slow your metabolism, because metabolism is the enemy of muscle gains. Ever notice how most guys who are naturally strong are also a bit chunky? It's no coincidence. If you really want to lose weight while lifting, I would recommend Hydroxicut or some other metabolism booster, not a muscle volumizer (which is primarily what creatine is). With Hydroxicut and intense exercise, you could easily lose a solid 5-10 lbs in 2 weeks for $20 (I've done it several times for wrestling in high school and college). I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Good luck!

bsn brand is the shizz
only side effect i heard about it at the gym was having trouble in the restroom haha

-Anything that you buy from stores like gnc and other drug stores WONT have steroids mixed in them
-BSN is known for making the best creatine(performance and taste)
-Personally, i would stay away from Creatine and take a Nitric Oxide supplement, such as NO-explode or Superpump250 (what i take)
-Nitric supplements give you more energy when working out, and i find they work out better
-If you do take creatine, take ALOT more water than you are taking now, because creatine makes your muscles retain water, which can lead to dehydration if you dont drink enough water
-Bad side effects= none if you drink enough water, all reported side effects are because of lack of water
-advantages of creatine= Your muscles will have more ATP(adenine tri-phosphate), or your muscles preffered form of energy, so you will be able to lift more weight and do more reps
-Work out at least 3 days a week, include bench press, barbell press, barbell curl, dumbell curl, flys, and any other lift you like
hope i helped!

all creatine does is boost muscle recovery and puts things back in your muscles that you took out when working out. I used a different kind of supplement calley WHEY and i drank one 30 minutes before i worked out and in a month my bench press went up 100 pounds. it also depends on your work out plan. the best way i found out to lose fat and gain muscle mass is get your max and do half of it and every time you come back to working out that muscle add five or ten pounds to it. but they have liquid creatine and powder. liquid goes under your tounge and bypasses your stomach and goes straight to your blood streem then to your muscles, the powder takes longer because it has to be digested. as far as i know if you take to much it can overload your liver and mess them up pretty pad. you are only supposed to take it after you work out.

I would recommend going to bodybuilding.com and purchasing kre-alkalyn, made by higher power nutrition. This product is perfectly clean and has helped me experience tremendous gains. Several of my friends are also taking this supplement and have nothing bad to say about it.

These resources will answer all your questions. I have been following the "Diet" i.e. "eating guidelines" and have lost 1 inch on my waist in 5 wks, which I think is good because I wasn't overweight to begin with and I was only in the gym for two one-hour sessions per week (all lifting, no cardio). Further, I eat all the time, so I'm not walking around starving.

Men's Health TNT Diet by Jeff Volek. This book totally explains the science behind diet in simple terms, recommends which supplements to take, has recipes and exercises.

Men's Health Power Training by Robert dos Remedios is an awesome book about lifting. I wrote a review on Amazon (FYI) Lifting, like most things, has changed a lot over the years. This book is backed up with scientific fact, and is very well written and organized.
Any guy that wants to build muscle and lose weight (that is, all of us) should read these two books even if you think you already know what the hell you are doing.
