thanks you guys!

First off.. I totally admire your courage and dedication to want to lose weight and willing to put some work into it.

And as someone who also had weight issues at one part.. and lost it.. I do have some tips.

1) Don't do any diet pills.. their crap.. most of them don't work and aren't good for you anyway.. and if they do.. it's only a short time fix.. so don't even go into the diet pill arena. It's not worth it.

2) Get the book by Covert Bailey called the Target Diet. The book isn't a specific diet book.. eat this .. eat that. Instead it's a book that teaches you how to eat healthy.. how to choose your foods.. etc.. and I tell you.. when I started to lose my weight.. (I lost 80 lbs).. his book totally inspired me and taught me so much !

http://www.amazon.com/Fit-Fat-Target-Die...

3) Stick to live foods. Live foods.. basically anything that was once alive, and has not been altered or processed.. ie: Fruit, Vegetables, fresh cuts of meat, eggs, brown rice, potatoes, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta..
examples of non live food.. processed lunch meat, white bread, doritos, pasta.. etc. Get the idea.

You'll find that sticking to natural foods.. that your not taking in any funky chemicals.. the foods are lower in fat, lower in calories, etc.. and so it will make a huge differnce in losing weight.

4) Watch your calories.. take your current weight and multiply it by 7.. that should be your calorie intake to lose weight. Simple as that. And the best way to watch your calories and the things you eat is by keeping a food diary. Everytime you eat something, you write it down as well as your portion of it.

5) Quit drinking soda.. including diet soda.. and if you're going to drink juice.. which also has a lot of sugar, limit yourself to one glass a day. Stick with water,.. it'll help flush out your system and is so good for you anyway. And drink 1 glass of milk a day.. Fat Free.. since you don't need the extra fat.. but you do need the calcium it provides. Also alcholic bevages are really high in calories, so nix them altogether.. a glass of wine for a special occasion.. okay.. but other wise.. stay away from booze. Coffee and Tea you can drink as much as you like.. just be careful adding sugar and creame to it.

6) EXERCISE !! You can change your eatting habits, you can cut calories.. and you will lose weight.. but the weight you will lose will be muscle first, and fat second.. which isn't good at all. You have to exercise so you keep the muscle and lose the fat.. keep in mind.. keeping and even building the muscle with some strength training is great.. because the bigger the muscle, the more calories you can burn ultimately.

So to get started, start walking every day for 30 minutes.. then in a week or two built it up to 45 minutes and then to an hour every day.. and try to walk as fast as you can.. you want to get your heart rate up.. so no leasurely stroll.. you need to do some fast walking, and pump your arms ..

Biking and Swimming are also good ideas for a begginer.

If you're looking for Exercise DVD's.. Prevention has some good DVD's available.. I have a few and like them all so far..

7) Finally.. don't do this alone.. I'd love to say find a friend to lose weight with.. but then it ends up a competition and friends get jealous as you lose weight and it's a mess..

so Consider finding people or a group you aren't friends with to lose weight with.. for example.. Weight Watchers..
Calorie Counter.com.. they give good online support.. you may even find people here on line to keep in touch with about weight... but you want someone around.. and here's why..

a) Accountability
b) Support.

That's my best advice. Please feel free to contact me if you need any support or other advice.. I am more than happy to help you with your goal.

No workout is that exciting. It's all about the commitment and striving for the goal. Diet pills could help a bit. I would recommend burning ab crunches, jogging, and biking. Join a sport like track, football, ect.

A non boring workout would be buying about 10 different aerobics/dancing DVD's. You can rotate the DVD's for the days of the week & so you won't get bored.

There is nothing more exciting than watching nice, skinny dance professionals burning some fat in front of your eyes. Try it & you'll love it.
I lost about 5 kg in just about a month (1kg a week!!).

I also recommend just eating less & less every time u eat. e.g. eat 20% less compared to the night before & don't eat anything after 7pm. (The Koreans suggested it & they're all skinny)

umm diets are easy to stick to if u like to eat fruit and vegies and alot of water is all you need for a diet and protien too its good for the body and no junk or sodas
for fun exercise do somthing you like like dancing for an hour in your room or if u like to shop walk at the mall for an hour or 2 a day or anything that keeps u moving is gona make u lose cals
good luck

a good diet is no bread or sugar it should help in no time and also the usual crunches...

i don't believe in diet pills as they are not good for you.stick to the basics like drink 8 glasses of water a day.cut out red meat.excercise.instead of 3 meals can try 5 or 6 small meals,to stay full.eat plenty of fruits and veggies.don't use butter, fried foods are a no no.also regular soda is filled with alot of sugar and calories.keep sugar to a minimum.i hope this helps.

The best tip I can offer you is to eat less and exercise more.

As far as your diet... I think you know that you need to eat good healthy foods. No soda pop, chips, dips. Wean sugar out of your diet and stay away from the artificial sweeteners.

As far as exercise... Make it a habit to walk for a half an hour every day.

Do not take diet pills. Be serious!

write down everything that you eat. its different when you see on paper every day what you eat. eat mostly natural foods. find natural alternatives for things you like to eat--avoid a lot of corn syrup, chemicals, etc. drink mostly or only water--cut out soda (even diet--its not very good for you), juice, etc. i knew someone who lost 30 pounds by replacing mountain dew with water. eat a lot of vegetables. exercise by doing things you enjoy. take walks in places you like, etc. you have to find things that you feel good about doing otherwise you will stop doing them. also, making small changes can add up to a big difference.

Make sure to burn more calories than you eat. Set out 30-60 minutes a day to run, walk, or jog. Take a friend with you and may make it more enjoyable. Go at your pace but just dont stop and give up.

stop eatin so much every time your stomach growl eat a litte
dat increase weight lose

here is a list of about 50 tips, my favourite is putting your scale by your fridge.

Do you watch Grey's Anatomy? The girl O'Malley is after?
Well, she's hot.

Try just listening to some music and start grooving it up in your bedroom or bathroom (Not recommended, because I tried as I slipped)
You should stick to an all vegetarian diet for 6 days a week with only a thumb size of salad dressings (or any other fattening sauces)
And have Sunday as a eat-all-you want buffet.
It helps. But mind the amount of food.
Drink lots of fluids like water, fruit juices or tea (Tea is an excellent way to lose that fat, tested and proven)
So that you won't feel hungry all the time.
Don't buy snacks when at the supermarket.
Have some will power.

I won't recommend diet pills though... It may cause hormonal or etc stuff to your body aka side effects.

Trust me on this...I went from 235 to 170, that's 65 pounds lost!

Start eating foods that are pure protein, no carbs, very little fat. Foods like chicken and turkey. Make this the bulk of your meals, and eat sweet stuff and bread and other carbs and fats in moderation so as not to binge.

Then, take up a fun sport like racquetball--it did it for me. You easily burn a pound an hour playing novice racquetball, as long as you play with someone who can keep up a game.

Also, the elliptical machine at the gym...start with 10 mins, pretty soon (two months guaranteed) you will be able to do 1 hour.

Most of all, don't worry if your weight goes up and down during this time, overall you will lose weight if you want to, and eat in moderation (don't have to skip all your favorite snacks, just cut down on them).

In order to avoid snacking, stay busy, meaning take up a hobby or extra job or anything that keeps you busy enough that you do not think about food. Also, keep your house or apt empty of anything unhealthy (if possible). This way, no matter how hungry you are, you won't binge.

Trust me, all this worked for me. I was the dorky kid, and now I'm so confident I surprise myself!! People can't handle my self-assurance at times. Just reaching such a goal makes you feel like a superstar, who cares how you look after you lose the weight, you lost a whole bunch of it!!

Hope that helps, and hope that you are on your way to an improved you. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

the best thing you can do is find a diet buddy.
you'd be surprised how much more motivated you are when you have someone else telling you about how well they're doing on their diet.
just make sure your diet buddy is someone that will stick to it. if your diet buddy gives up, that will just give you an excuse to quit.

i started a diet 3 days ago and have already lost about 5 pounds. it's no specific diet plan. i just cut calories and started exercising.
i only eat about 300 calories a day now, but of course you wouldn't have to do anything that drastic.
also, i weigh myself everyday. a lot of people tell you not to do that. but i find that it motivates me. if i lose weight, i get excited that i'm seeing results and it motivates me to continue. if i gain weight or didn't lose weight, i think "ugh, i'm fat" and then that motivates me to do something about it.
i dunno, it works for me.

easy weight loss guide.

1. dont eat crap...you are what you eat so stay away from fried fatty foods so you arent a fatty too..(i am also trying to lose about 60 pounds this year and in the past month have lost 16 lbs just by following this rule.)

2. start off the day with fruit be it smoothie or just fresh fruit...eat it for breakfast and wait a half hour or so and see if you are hungry...you shouldnt be, our bodies digest fruit really quickly and are optimal for starting the day with their sugar and tangy flavors.

3. make sure there are more veggies on your plate then meat...and make sure the veggies arent fried

4. don't eat crap!

5. just do it today..dont wait until tomorrow

6. excercise...add some walking...start off easy even go to the mall and window shop if it gets you off your 80 lb overweight body! and then workup to what you can do with little or no stress. the idea is to push yourself not have a heartattack...with that said, dont stop just because it gets har.

7. no soda, caffeine at all!!! no coffee, or cigarettes they mess up the chemistry in our body...sleep is really good too, when you dont sleep enought your body craves more food in order to make the happy chemical serotonin...you need that it makes you eat less...so sleep more

8. good luck!!

obviously you dont have to do all of this right away, just start off slowly and start doing things that yu kno are the right thing to do!
