I haven't tried nutrisystem, but I did lose 55lbs by simply correcting bad eating habits and getting a bit of exercize, so nutrisystem is one of the few weight loss programs I believe in because they undestand the point is a good diet, not a weird one.

My weight loss occured over about 2 years. If you lose the weight slow & steady your skin should contract without much problem. The red marks should go away. The streach marks will diminish, but it takes youth & good genes (or a plastic surgon) to make them vanish entirely.

Regards exercize. Something is better that nothing, & consistancy is better that anything.

Walking is great (Like a mile hike to the sandwitch shop at lunch) but the holy grail of exercize is the 20-30 minute cardio workout first thing in the morning. I like the nordic trac, but there are literly hundreds of cardio workout DVDs, machines & TV shows.

The most important piece of weight loss equipment is your brain. Thin & healthy is not a diet or a program, it is a lifestyle & a mindset.

Thin healthy people work out, fat sick ones don't. Thin healty people eat good food. Fat sick people eat junk.

Got it? When you wake up in the morning, don't ask yourself whether or not you have the time/energy for your workout, ask yourself if you are a thin healthy person or a sick fat one. Because thin healthy people workout.

Ask the same question when tempted by junk food. Thin healthy people eat apples and celery, fat sick ones eat candy bars and donuts.

You can cheat, but do it once a week, not once a day.

You decide whether you are fat or thin every day. What you weigh at the end of the day, is far less important than what you decide at the begining of the next. Occasional fat days don't matter. One fat day is not any excuse for another.

The more you get into this mindset, the more it will astonish you how easy it is to be thin. No pills, no artificial sweetners, no weird starvation diets. Just warm up your body before you start the day, and stop putting junk into your fuel tank.

Good luck thin girl.

I was about to buy about 100 shares of nutrisystem a couple months ago, but it tanked all the way down to $35 a share..

Whew.

That was a close one.

I did. You'll never last that long, but if you can tough it out you will lose weight. Everything starts tasting terrible after a couple of weeks. I can't even look at the commercials without gagging. Stretchmarks don't go away, they will just fade (to white) and maybe get smaller. Do cardio (if you have a threadmill, do equal intervals of fast/incline and slow/flat every couple of minutes) and don't forget your weights. Drink lots of water.

Do cardio and lifting weights to tone your muscles. I know several folks that have done Weight watchers and Quick Weight Loss Center with excellent long-term results. They lost 2-5lbs a week, so I suspect NS will be similar.

Nutrisystem will NOT magically make you lose 50 lbs. It's a simple plan of eating the correct portions of foods. It's not a magical weight loss anything. Just start eating less and exercising like jogging, yoga, pilates, etc. If you can portion control yourself, you don't need to buy nutrisystem.

I did Nutrisystem...and hated the food! It tastes so bland or canned or something....yuk. But, I also did Jenny Craig, and the food was actually really good. There were days when I said, "oh good! I get to eat (this) tonight!" I lost 18 lbs in 8 weeks, not sticking super close to their plan. I ate my own breakfast, and just bought the lunches, dinners, & snacks. Plus, I had fast food occasionally, so I was very lenient with the diet plan. And I walked everyday. So, I imagine you would lose faster if you stuck to the plan better than I did. Good luck!
