Could someone be addicted to orange juice?? Maybe it has some vitamin they are l!

Question: just wondering??

Answers: just wondering??

No. Orange juice is not an addictive agent and has no addictive effect on the brain which is the primary locus for all addictions. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient, but nutrients are not things to which we are addicted.

However, a shortage of Vitamin C causes a disease called scurvy which wrecked veins, bones and connective tissue - cartilage and stuff like that.

There is no realistic connection or correlation that can be made between a body's need for essential nutrients (those things as essential to life like breathing and reproducing) and addictions - which are based on substances that are biochemically "non-essential" to life.

yes

I don't think so but orange juice has high vitamin C.

If the orange juice has a lot of unnatural refined sugar in it, it could be addictive. Try checking the label to make sure it's not just 50% juice with some refined sugar added.

Otherwise, well in my opinion, I don't think a person could be addicted to 100% orange juice as it's not that sweet (at least not where it's sold here.) But if it is 100% orange juice and they are addicted, they could just be addicted to the natural sweetness of it. I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of vitamins.

Oh, the uninformed majority.
No. Orange juice is not, in the literal meaning of the word, addictive. Your body can not become dependent on it.
There is quite a body of study going on about if food can be addictive, and it has been shown that sugar does cause some emotional changes in the body, but not something as severe as an addiction has been scientifically proven.

it could be an addiction, and not because of sugar.
in studies, they have proved that some people have a different chemical make up that causes them to crave foods, similar to those who are addicted to drugs.
its a chemical in the brain.

but i'm sure you're not addicted to it, and not it wouldn't be because of vitamins.
orange juice is not as healthy as people claim it to be.
my advice, eat your calories don't drink them.
