This isn't an exciting answer. In fact, it's your granny's answer.

Eat vegetables, at least five servings a day. Don't necessarily cut anything out, just make sure you have your veges. They're really good for you, and you won't feel like eating so much other rubbish if you're full of healthy stuff. And better still, you won't feel so deprived.

Eat less processed stuff and more stuff from scratch. If you control what goes into it, then you can reduce the amount of additives and empty calories.

Also - okay, this is a deprivation - cut out soda/pop/soft drink (whatever you call it). No Coke, no lemonade, no gatorade. Drink lots of water. Try to avoid caffeine.

Also... try walking a lot. Seriously, put some tunes on your mp3 and get out there. Exercise should be fun, or else you get sick of it. Think of new things to do that are fun. Walk your neighbour's dog. Go ice-skating. Try rock-climbing (it's a real buzz). Hiking. Rollerblading. Join a social sports team. You don't have to commit to anything long term, just try and do a couple of fun, physical things a week to get you started.

Hm, I think I will market this as the "hippy" diet. It's not really a diet, it's just a way to get healthier and lose weight without feeling like you're being punished. A lot of weight loss is in the head, you have to make it a reward for yourself, rather than something that you're doing because you're not good enough. So think positive thoughts, and enjoy life through eating healthy yummy stuff and doing healthy fun activities.

Eat healthy food like fruits and vegetables. Also, eat lots of foods high in protein to keep you full. Most importantly, exercise.

Eat right (more vegetable & fruit), drink minimum 8 glass of water a day, exercise, avoid stress, think positive.
