What benefits do my body get from an exercise bike?!

Question: Does it work the abs? Define the legs? Any benefits you can think of. Thanks in advance.

Exercise bikes help build lean muscle in the legs, thighs, and butt. They are also cardio so they get your heart pumping. A good thing about building lean muscle in the legs is that there are some really large muscles there and they will burn more calories.

Exercise bikes are great, but don't forget strength training for your upper body and core muscles (abs, back). You want to be healthy all around.

Legs mostly.

THE BUTT!!! and thighs.. abs? not so much.

Most of the benefit is cardio related. But, depending on how much resistance you have the bike set at, you can also get results in your quads, gluts, and abs.

Exercise bikes are a great form of exercise to take! I myself lost 6 stone by useing one over a period of 6 months. It is mainly a cardio work out on your lower body that is acheived with this piece of equitment however in useing it to lose weight you will notice a difference overall. Good luck.

Lower leg strength. When I first began track, I noticed the muscles in my legs were growing very fast. Riding a bike is almost the same thing, except that you have upper body support on the bike. Riding a bike is great excercize but if you really want to show something off, every time you go to ride your bike, turn up the endurance level just a little bit.
