I Am 12 years old 5 foot 1 and 100 pounds and I have a huge gut am i overweight?!

No you are not overweight at all. I'm sure you don't have a huge gut. Go look up a BMI chart, you'll see that you are proportioned like you should be.

seriously calm down. 100 pounds is very healthy for your age. If you are really worried about your gut, then go to the doctors for them to check it out. You could have something wrong with your gut.. But I highly doubt it!

I was the same when I was 12. Just try sit-ups and crunches. If you stick to an exercise plan you'll flatten it out.

A general rule if you're not too athletic is that you should be about 100 pounds for being 5' tall, and an additional 5 pounds for each inch. And thats really the minimum. So you're 5 pounds less. Dont worry about your weight

You don't need help,
you just need to decide if you are fat or thin.

If you are thin you'll eat modest amounts of good food & exercize every day

If you are fat you'll eat large amounts of junk food & avoid working out.

Don't whine, don't stress, don't take strange pills.... just decide.

Each person has their own standard of who's fat or not.
It is hard to tell if you are fat or not just by knowing that you are 5"1 and 100 pounds. For all we know, it could just be your muscle that makes your weight 100 pounds. Or, it could just be fat.
If you want to know if you are overweight in the scientific sense, then you should probably measure your body fat and find the average of body fat % of your age.
But if you want to know if you are overweight in the personal opinion of others (which I'm sure is what you're worried about), there might be some conflicting notions (in other words, it depends on who you're asking). What some people consider overweight might not be considered overweight to other people. If you ask a person who is constantly working out, then he will most likely say you are overweight, because anyone without a six pack (to him) is considered overweight. Also, in countries like America, the obesity rate is higher than the scientific standard. So you can expect people to be more lenient on whos overweight or not.
Simply put, it is up to you to decide whether or not you are overweight.
