Why are good foods healthy, and healthy foods gross?!

Question: From an evolutionary perspective, that doesn't make sense, you'd think it'd be the other way around. You would think man would evolve to like foods that were better for him.

What's good for us now wasn't good for us back then, and vice versa.

In the Stone Ages, we needed to maximise fat reserves to survive the winter.

Nowadays, we need to minimise the fat reserves..

We were programmed to love the taste of fat, because it is so calorific. Back then it would have been great to eat more fat, but nowadays, not so good.

hmm....isn't that strange....

I know!! I hate HATE hate healthy foods...would never eat it for taste..only for health....actually, even for health, I don't eat goof foods. The food needs to evolve not people!!! ...well, that's my take

I've had the same question, but actually (a) there are some really delicious healthy foods that you can enjoy immensely and maybe only need to retrain your taste buds and (b) I think it's just part of the human condition that there are going to be all kinds of temptations for us of things that are oh so sweet in one way or another but detrimental to our well being, because the only way to grow in strength and character is to be tested.

Helping to maintain or bring good health. To exercise to keep a person fit and healthy. Or to eat great foods such as source of nutrients: material that provides living things with the nutrients they need for energy and growth.
