Motivation to lose weight for self and not for some guy?!


Question: I know I need to lose weight. I weighed 200 lbs (at 5`6) last weekend, now I'm down to 190 (i know its just water weight), but I had great motivation...which was to look better for this guy I like...

Well, it turns out this guy's a jerk, so how do I convinvce myself that I need to lose weight for me and not anyone else?

I went through pretty much the same thing.

When I found out the guy who I wanted to impress started being a jerk to me, I decided to make that another factor in losing weight: for him to see me when I looked 100x better, and have him see what he lost.

Babe, this needs to be about you because you are worth it. Tell yourself that. I lost 80 lbs - and it was all about me!

Your motivation is to do it so that you'll like what you see in the mirror. You're apparently not ok with how you look now, so change it.

Your obviously not happy with how you look, or you would not have felt the need to lose weight for that guy. That should be motivation enough.

Or because you dont want to die an early death due to heart problems, diabetes, blah blah blah.

well u would live longer , be healthier, give yourself more confidence u can

feel more good about yourself

It seems like you already know who you're losing the weight for. Just beleive in your self and live above what other people say or do. (Quotes are helpful for me too.)

Think of all the reasons that you want to lose weight - you'll be healthier, feel better about yourself, fit into clothing better, have more energy! You will also be able to set and accomplish a very big goal. That in and of itself will make you a stronger and more capable person! Forget the loser and do it for you!!

i think im fat but the guy thing helps me.
i dont think its a bad thing, its great motivation as long as you still want it yourself.

a look in the mirror should give you all the motivation you need
