Answers: I work out in the morning. Is it better to eat breakfast before I go to the gym,or after?

after.
after you work out your metabolism is raging, because when you work out, your metabolism speeds up to burn calories. once you get home your metabolism is still working, and if you eat after, your metabolism will burn the food easier and quicker.
eat a light breakfast before so you have feul to help you, like bread. carbs are great for energy.

don't be fooled by people saying before because you need substience to get through the workout. just eat a light something that will last, and then when you get home enduldge.

I THINK BEFORE

SO U WORK OFF CALORIES

its is way better to eat before because you have strength to work out and then if you ate food with fat in it you can burn it off

Eat a small breakfast before so you have enough fuel and then something more substantial afterwards.

Have a very light breakfast before .

I have heard that drinking a cup of coffee will raise your metabolism so that you burn more calories during your workout. Not sure about breakfast, but I think maybe toast and coffee would be ok before.

Before so you will have the fuel you need to work out

eat before but dont get bloated.

After I would think...Unless you eat 1 hour at least before a work out.

I think it's better to eat breakfast AFTER working out, but water during working out is good.

I swim before I eat I would get a cramp or get sick if I ate before. Actually, if you work out before you eat, you will eat less and feel fuller.

Hi, before to kick start your metabolism good luck.

eat 30-40 mins before your workout - it will provide needed energy and kick start your metabolism, which burns the old calories

You should leave at least an hour between eating and exercising otherwise you are liable to throw it back up.

If you are up early enough to do this then it's better to eat first as it will give you more energy. If not then it won't matter just try to eat within 20mins of your workout.

I read somewhere that after you exercise is better to eat because exercising raises you metabolism for about 45 minutes or so afterwards so whatever you eat gets used better. hope that helped~

It's good to eat a little something beforehand, but to avoid getting stomach cramps, it should be something light, and you should eat it at least a half hour before you start your workout. A yogurt, piece of fruit, or protein smoothie would be good choices. That would be enough food to help get your metabolism going for the day, but not enough to cause stomach cramps or affect your workout.

better to eat before, if not your body will start to feed on itself, using protein(not fat) and you will lose tone and muscle. SOme ppl think its better to not eat in the morning and excersise and they will burn more fat. YOur body actually prefers the protein bc it has 9 calories per gram as opposed to 4 cal per gram of fat. Our bodies are made to adapt quickly to any change in our environment and its main goal is to stay alive. Therefore it will choose the one with the most energy and use that up first.

It's better if you eat a light breakfast before you go to the gym and make sure that it's a breakfast high in protein.

be4 u can have a cup of tea or coffee or milk.then after half an hour eat healthy but low calories breakfast.

Don't have breakfast before...
If you do, when you start exercising, your muscles wont get adequate blood supply as most of your blood would be used up trying to digest your food...

The result : you'll probably end up not even toning/burning fat/etc...

Rather have breakfast after gyming, as your metabolism would be working at a higher rate immediately after gyming too...
