I use to have a good diet!!?!


Question: I use to be good at eating healthy, I never ate sugar, I never thought I would have this problem, then this year I slowly became a pig and I gained 12 pounds! in 4 months! what are some good foods I can eat in the morning and for snacks, i had 2 cups of ice cream this morning. my mom told me i was the best eater in the family, and now i am a pig, our family takes allot of vitamins, and since I always am co plaining about my bones hurting, she would get on me about taking my vitamins, but she got so mad she said she wont help me remeber anymore, help!

First of all, you don't have to stop eating unhealthy stuff completely--you just have to limit your portions. 2 cups of ice cream, especially for breakfast, is way too much.

In the morning, instant oatmeal is a really good choice. It fills you up, is low in calories (even the flavored ones), and is good for you. Plus it's really fast and easy--excellent for before school.

With snack food, again, you just have to limit your portions. Rice cakes, string cheese, or whole-grain crackers with hummus or cheese are excellent.

Two cups of ice cream isn't a good breakfast, darling.

Turn into a fruit junkie! Instead of ice cream, have the strawberries instead. Have a banana for a snack, or an apple or orange. Drink juices instead of soda.

Besides being wayyyyyyyyy lower in calories, they have many essential vitamins and minerals in them. Plus, your Mom will see you are really trying to be a more healthy eater...and will help again.
