Walking 2 Miles in 45 Minutes?!

Question: Should I increase the pace ( I am at 3.3 on the treadmill) to burn fat or is that ok? My heart rate is where it should be when I do this. And can I do this regimen 7 days a week?

It depends on what your are trying to achieve... If you want to lose weight, walking like this will help but is probably not enough. You should consider trying high intensity training. It has been shown to burn more calories than a workout at a single speed and it continues to burn calories long after you have stopped. It is where you constantly change the pace of your workout--start off slow for a couple of minutes to warm up, and then go at a fast pace for 2 minutes or so, then go slow for 2 minutes or so, then go a moderate speed for another two minutes, and repeat. You should also consider changing the incline throughout your workout to burn more calories and add a little spice to your workout. If you can handle the workout, I would say it is safe to do the regimen 7 days a week, however a day off once in awhile actually helps because it gives time for you body to rest and repair itself.

that is incredibly slow.

if this is hard (not too difficult, but a workout that raises your heartbeat), then it's fine for now... but when it becomes too easy, you should increase your pace or distance or both. good luck!

You should increase your pace. Ideally on a flat surface you should be running a 12 minute mile, if you are a healthy adult.

If you're at a gym I would recommend using an elliptical rather than a treadmill. You can use ellipticals to push your heart rate to an optimal rate without enduring the joint trauma associated with running on treadmills. Also, with arm bars ellipticals generally allow a user to burn far more calories than they could on an elliptical.

That being said, yes you can maintain your current workout schedule seven days a week. Keep in mind that if you simply "burn fat" without replacing it with muscle (through weight training), you will be susceptible to regaining weight quickly.

That is too slow. I walk to the supermarket and back. (1 mile each way) It takes me less time than that, and I am carrying groceries on the way back.
