i know its hard when people laugh, but instead of feeling down, make it motivate you. its all well and good sayin 'theyre inconsiderate' (which they are) but you have to accept that the world is inconsiderate. let it motivate you to sort it out. do cardio 4 times a week, make sure you are low on carbs beofre and immediately after, but high in protein before and after. only have carbs about 90 mins after.
when doing cardio alternate intensity, 2 mins low, 1 min ultra high. this allows you to do high intensity but not kill yourself. (BTW high intensity - get your heart rate really high) eat frequently (6 times a day - approx every 3 hours) and healthy foods - lean protein, fruit and complex carbs mostly

i dont know

I'm no expert. I am over weight tho. I have just joined a gym a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it. Maybe try to exercise that works the whole body, even just going for a walk maybe 3-4 times a week? or using a cross trainer?

Goodluck!

Being laughed at for any reason is never comforting and can result in levels of self-esteem to diminish. However, you need to realize that when someone laughs at you, it isn't you who has the problem, but the ones being so inconsiderate.

Controlling a sweet tooth is one of our greatest weaknesses. Since you have developed a habit of snacking while sitting for such extended periods, try eating something more nutritional such as grapes or baby carrots. Since you have a job requiring such downtime, so to speak, a way to counteract this hip effect is using the stairs or walking more. Try to find something which will increase your heart rate even if only slightly. Is walks after work out of the question? Take the initiative, and apply the effort. If you are only 21, and not happy with your physical appearance, imagine how you will feel at 30 or 40 after years of sitting for such periods of time.

Try to remind yourself not only of your unhappiness of today but of how unhappy you will be 10 years or more down the road. Apply some effort towards your physique, is the best advice I can suggest. Good luck and when someone laughs at you, smile back. Never allow someone to feel they have such power over you to where they are hurting you. Some feed off of this. Just smile and say, "have a nice day."

Be the greater person and you will always be the winner!

I think exercising more .and eating less, step by step, you will gradually find that you have good feelings and good looking, the world never has free lunch, all depend on how you work hard on it, no pain no gain, you just only 21 years old, you have long road ahead of you, good luck to you.
