Losing Weight.............Food + Fitness.....?!


Question: Hi, Hoping for some expert advice here too........

Ive started to diet and exercise now in attempt to lose 3+ stone.....
I think my hardest thing to give up is chinese takeaway....do u think i could have that as my once a week treat?
Also whats good thigh, bum and tummy exercise?? I cant afford the gym at the moment.....
If i go out walking, im going to be with a baby and toddler, my toddler walks very slow so how much walking should i do bearing in mind it will be slow walking...should i not bother as its not at a fast pace???

Once a week treat is ok. Squatting and stomach crunches are good for those areas. I know what you mean about slow toddlers but any exercise is good. Could you take them to the park and play ball and run about with them? That would be fun for them and exercise for you. If not how about an exercise bike for your home?
How about taking them to lean swimming, thats great for you too.

Re: walking

Why not find a park where your toddler can play on the equiptment while you walk around and around it- that way, you can get fit at your own pace and keep an eye on your toddler at the same time.

you really need to get your heart rate going faster than resting.
a good exercise you can do if youve got stairs, put on some good fast beaty music and step up the stairs and back down, you need to be doing this for at least 20 - 30 mins. try holding tins of beans doing bicep curls while stepping. this will work the front thigh(quads) back thigh(hamstrings) backside(glutes)biceps,calfs. keep tummy tight too!!

Hi. I think your best bet is to get a excercise bike for indoors that wat you can excercise more. I would try and give up the take aways altogether if you can, i go to weight watchers and they say a treat like that each week will slow you down with loosing the weight.

Gyms are expensive and tough work. Online is the way to go. Been doing this online weight loss program www.alfitness.com.au. Its a couple of dollars a week and they give you meal plans and exercise programs to help you lose weight. I do it from home. Takes few mins a day and i've been losing a lot of weight over the past couple of months.
