I usually notice a big difference within 2-4 weeks after starting and I also see a difference as soon as I stop. (Energy level drops, I get food cravings, skin doesn't look as refreshed and I don't sleep as well.)

Some will say that they are some will say that they're not,
Personally I feel they're a vital part of my diet and take them daily.

Thank you :)
I eat very healthily and exercise quite a lot too.

just do it the good old way// dark green veggies.. like spinach and brocoli..red meat i think.. and if yer a vegetarian try beans and nutss..

I dont think that I have ever taken them for a sustained enough period of time to notice any difference, pills that effect me noticeably are not good for you!

Iron is something that you shouldn't take unless your doctor tests you to see if you have a low iron count. Iron is toxic to children if they take too much. I wouldn't take iron, maybe a multivitamin and then get tested by your doctor to see your iron level first.

If you are low on iron, taking supplements will definitely make you feel like you have more energy. I know this from experience. Iron was low for some reason, and the doctor put me on a high dosage, over-the-counter tablet.

If you are concerned, talk with your doctor. As with anything, too much can be a bad thing.

Lots of people are low on iron and don't know it, so this could be a good idea. A daily multi vitamin is always excellent at improving your health, just make sure to read the lables and chose one that fits you. If u do buy iron tablets take them with some vitamin C or orange juice so that your body can fully absorb it. Iron often leaves you quite consipated and on occasion nauseas so only take it once a day unless your body can handle it.

I have been taking one multi-vitamin a day now for roughly 3 years and I haven't had a cold in all that time. I don't always eat all that well either, so I would say they are worthwhile.

If you eat lots of veg you don't need iron supplements as veg contains high levels of iron especially broccoli, and spinach. Many foods are fortified with iron too anyway - e.g. breakfast cereals, bread, etc.

iron tablets make my stomach bleed, they are very hard on the stomach. i take vitamin and mineral supplements because i notice the difference if I don't. i don't think you need a lot of meat as long as you have loads of green vegetables. everyone is different, i had iron problems from eating meat once a week and my doctor told me to have it 3 times a week and now i'm fine. i also drink vegetable juices including spinach juice
