I totally blew my diet today.i ate a packet of crisps, 2 mini cakes and a cadbur!


Question: What can i do to get back on track, i feel so miserable!
I am not going to eat anything for the rest of the day, will this be ok?

Claire, Don't let it get you down! Anyone on a weight loss program is only a twinky away from falling off the wagon. Just resolve to be stronger next time! and continue with your diet. The guilt doesnt help you and can actually make you weaken even more. Forget it, its a done deal and you cant un-eat it. Do not skip your meals today, without a doubt I can tell you that by late evening you will be hungry and probably break your diet again. Just eat your planned meal like normal and continue on. Losing weight is a long term commitment and sometimes we are weaker than other times. I recommend that you avoid places and situations that put junk food in easy reach until you have some measured success in your diet. If it aint around you cant eat it. Good luck!

maybe you should use a diet that suits you better so you are not craving food. also dont buy these foods!

im on a diet too and im so close in to blowing it. I think when you diet you cant eat all the nice things and then u eat just one cake then u get a taste for it and eat loads more. Maybe try joining a slimming club, i go 2 weight watchers and it seems to stop me eating rubbish. I was going to eat cakes today but i thought im getting weiged on thursday whats the point. of u do the diet for a week it will get less hard and you wont crave for the nice food.

As long as your calories intake is not more than what your body needs, u wont put on weight. Besides, it takes 7800 calories to gain 1kg of fat. An occasional idulgence is perfectly alright!

ok so you fell off the diet. Why? ask yourself why did you, there must of been some reason, hunger, fed up, worried find out what it was so that you can be aware of it as a trigger next time. back to the here and now, ok so you have blown today but tomorrow is another day you know what you have to do start again tomorrow and carry on. dont starve yourself your body will just hold onto your fat until you feed it so you wont loose anything, apart from a few brain cells when you start to feel faint. (Not good). You started healthy eating because you wanted to so you will carry on and be more aware and careful. go for it.

Oh well, never mind. We've all done it. You've had a bad day today Tomorrow is another day. Be positive. Think how great it will be when you have to buy a new size in those jeans you really like, and when people start to notice how much weight you have lost.
