Thats the same as gastric bypass. This is a very risky procedure since it decreases the size of the stomach dramatically in an effort to help obese people eat less 7 lose lots of weight fast. There is new procedure called the Lap Band system which places an adjustable band around the stomach to decrease its size & help the patient lose weight, but is safer. Google each & read the pros & cons.
