If you have a decently busy daytime, I find that it's quite common for people with that sort of life to get bored in the evening and eat out of boredom. I broke myself of boredom eating by drinking a bottle of water every time I found myself wanting food in the evening. If you've had a decent dinner, it's probably not your stomach wanting food, but your body wanting something to do. Water is a good solution because it won't keep you awake, won't make you fat, and keeps your system cleaned out.
Another possibility to add to that is perhaps your body isn't getting the nutrients it needs. Very few people do these days. That's why diseases like cancer and diabetes are becoming so rampant.
My wife and I are part of a nutritionally-based home business and we've found what we consider to be the absolute best nutritional product that does or ever has existed. We've seen it work wonders for family and friends and we love sharing it with people. We would be happy to tell you more about it. It may be for you, and it may not, but we think everyone deserves to at least hear about it.
Not trying to sell you anything; I just like to help people keep their options open.

Most people have things to do during the day and when night comes, all that is left is to watch tv, eat, ect. A lot of people have this problem. Something that works for me is to plan out your whole day and what you are going to eat. Also plan an activity that you can do later at night so your not tempted to eat. Hope this helps!
