Should I go to the gym tomorrow?!

Question: I'm trying to lose about 42lbs this year so I've started going to the gym and have decreased my portion sizes.

The problem is I haven't gone to the gym regularly for a couple of months and my legs are finding it hard going! Should I rest tomorrow and then go on Thursday or would that be giving up?

I walked for an hour Sunday and went to the gym first thing today and yesterday.

If you are trying to lose a substantial amount of weight, then regular exercise should be a regular part of your life. The key is consistency. Make sure you go at least five times per week. If your body is fatigued, take a couple of days and do easier exercises. Walk rather than jog, use less weights, whatever you need to do. But don't skip sessions. The key to achieving your weight loss goals is sticking to it, nothing else. There is no magic diet or pill or machine that will help the pounds melt off. All of the miracle transformations that you see on TV happen because they kept with it and didn't quit. They decided to change their lifestyle for the better, for good. There is no going back. Good luck and I hope this helped!

Go. I have the same problem. I'm lazy and it's hard work but it's worth it.

Thus lies the problem..your supposed to rest your body, it needs to recover, working it like a dog each day won't do you any good.

There's no need to go every single day. Take the day off tomorrow and go on Thursday

Just get in there and do it. Start slowly with walking the treadmill then gradually add more activity again. The 42 pounds are not going to lose themselves you need to make this happen. As I tell you this I also tell myself. Thanks for letting me motivate you as I motivate myself as well.

you have to keep up the routine - otherwise you'll find excuses every day - work on your arms or stomach muscles instead?

If you don't want to have a 'stronger' workout, better go jogging or do spinning. It's always a good idea to do something but don't overdo ;) Good luck

yeah u shud..go for it man

Yes go tomorrow. Keep up the momentum and hard work. Get into a routine.

you must take a rest, if you got better, u have ready to get a gym again...

its up 2 u.depends how u feel.

Nope, I think you should go today, Otherwise.. You'll keep putting it off and before you know it you wont be bothered to go at all. I think if you work youself into going regularly then you'll be fine! :) I go 5 times a week, Sometimes 6 but I also work absoloutely everywhere too. Don't let your mind win you over about whether to go or not! :)

your on the right track, exercise should be spread out for three times a week for a half hr, this gives your body a chance to recover, like dieting every thing in moderation.the human body needs to be conditioned ,to a regular regime of diet and exercise, bouncing back and forth is counter productive
