Should I have 3 Meals a day or 6 to lose weight?!


Question: Im starting a job soon in a clothes store, so I will only have room for lunch while im there, and no snacks. It will go something like this

6am- breakfast- special k
8-9- gym
930- yogurt
10-6 work. lunch 2pm- chicken salad in pita bread
7pm- fish & vegetables

Will I lose weight. I need to lose 40lbs by July.

just some tips: its better to eat more earlier in the day and less at night. this is because whatever u eat earlier in the day will for sure be burned throughout your day, but if u eat a bunch at night ur body doesnt have much time before u go to sleep. after ur gym workout u could probably eat more than a yogurt, but yes u do want a little something for energy so that special k bar before the gym was a good idea. also drink plenty of water. if you're ever having difficulties on ur diet with the food part, take ur meal, and drink a sip of water after every bite of food. this will fill u up. otherwise your diet sounds pretty good u could definatly lose 40Ibs by july as long as u stick to this routine. good luck!

6 small meals will generally speed up the motabilism more than 3 large meals. i've tried this and it has worked for me. It cant hurt to give it a go!

i do 6-7 meals a day and workout 2-3 hrs for 5-6 days a week
also i would add some carbs in the morning for all day energy

That sounds delicious and smart. But please don't be obsessed about losing 40 lbs. by a certain date. Just get yourself on the right track, eat healthy, be healthy (work out) and you'll reach your goal eventually. Don't obsess about lbs. per se, just be the best you can be. Good luck!

having several small meals a day is a very good way to lose weight while staying healthy...just be careful not to take in too many calories with each meal otherwise you will gain weight instead of losing...the average woman wanting to lose weight should be eating about 1500 calories a day, if you divide that by 6 (which is the number of meals you want to eat) each of your meals should be no more than 250 calories you can take a few calories from some meals and add them to other meals to come up with a plan that will work for you, for example:breakfast 300c,snack150c,lunch 300c, snack 150c, dinner 500c, snack 100c =1500c daily...good luck with your weight loss!!! and be sure to exercise for at least 2 hours a week (more as you get in better shape) and mix in some resistance training at least 3 days a week and you will be thin in no time!!!

that all sounds fine but with the yogurt you should add a fresh fruit like bananas or strawberries.im also trying to loose weight by the summer.drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.Also make shore you have alot of sleep ,and you know that when you sleep you burn calories.im shore you can lose at least 30 pounds by July and if you have faith you can do ANYTHING=)
