Protein shake?!


Question: i lift 4 times a week and take a creatine and protein shake afterwards. i dont take one everyday or before i work out because it is a waste of money, but i have heard that it is good to take one before bed. it does make sense to me since you build muscle when your at rest. what your opinion? i am thinking of buying and cheap protein just to take before bed and save the good one for after a workout. what do you suggest

well thats a myth taking any type of food in before bed will just stop the rebuilding when your sleeping cause your body has to digest the food or protein shake causeing it to stop rebuild and then the protein will go to waste and be converted to fat instead

as long as u are taking in protein after your workout to rebuild the muscles, and as long as u are getting your daily quota for protein in grams... meaning one gram for each pound u weigh...

alot of the directions the protein powder gives u is marketing ploys... it will not hurt u to listen, but u just waste protein... not neccesary before bed
