you should do calf workouts twice a week if you're aim is to develop all the muscles in your body. if youre just doing calf workouts (which I don't advise) then you should do one every two days.

focus on standing calf raises for a month (whether vertical or "donkey" style, where you bend over and put the weight on your lower back), and then switch to seated calf raises the next month, and keep alternating. if you go to a gym, put a peice of wood on the ground under the smith machine, place your heels on the edge and force your toes up, elevating you and the barbell a few inches. this is a reverse calf raise, many people neglect the muscles that it works, but it will highly increase the width of your calves in addition to regular calf raises.

your sets should include no more than 12 reps if youre looking for size.

jump rope, 30 mins a day & swimming on the weekends
and weights- im not sure which ones, but ask the trainer at a gym.

Steroids and Human Growth Hormones, or perhaps calf implants

I've found that hiking really builds the leg muscles.

um swiming for a hour

do seated and standing calf excercise. first do it 2x a week, then increase to 3x a week. use some heavy weight because calf muscle is used to work every day walking.
