About how far is 0.1 mi?!

Question: if you walk for half an hour at a rate of 0.2 mi/hr are you going excrusiatingly slow? normal speed? or very fast

0.2 mi/hr is very slow... 4 miles per hour is usually considered a "brisk walking pace". Even a slow deliberate walk should be around 2 miles per hour... to put it into perspective, 0.2 miles is just over 1000 feet... about the length of 3.5 football fields.

Excuciatingly slow. :) It'd be normal to walk 1.5 miles in one half hour, if you weren't pushing yourself too much. That would be 3 miles an hour.

.1 mile is about one city block. It's not very far at all. .2 mile an hour is just under 1/4 of a mile per hour...it's excrusiatingly slow. if it took you a half an hour to walk one block...it would actually take more work to walk that slow than if you were to sprint it.

I have to run a Marine Corps physical training test (PFT)...because even though I am in the navy I am a fleet marine force corpsman (FMF)... we have to run 3 miles in under 28 minutes...my average is around 21 to 22. I'm actually slow compared with some of the marines I work with.

no that would be like you were walking backwards on your knees. i think if you were walking at your normal pace you should be able to finish about 2 miles in half an hour, a mile isn't very long.

i run a mile in nearly 6:45 every time.
and when i walked half a mile it took me 7 mins.

It is about 1/10th of a mile. If you are an ant or a crippled squirrel, that is a pretty good speed. Otherwise, that is pretty darn slow.

I can walk five miles in one hour and 2.5 per half hour. I walk at a pretty good rate though..No snail crossings here!
