Do I have a eating disorder?!


Question: Im 15, 5'4", and 130 lbs. I am constantly hungry. I can finish a whole box of pizza by myself and in a hour or two I will eat again.I'm very active and physically fit. I'm picky also. I hate eating any fat on meat, and I don't like butter all too much. Is that why I'm skinny because I don't eat a lot of fat? I limit myself on the very salty and sugary foods. Just now at 11:10PM I ate about 6 serving cups of pops cereal with 2% milk. 130 lbs might seem alot for my height but it's not from fat most of it is from muscle mass. I'm being 100% truthful for anyone doubting this.

i dont think you have an eating disorder, especially if you eat a whole box of pizza and you keep it in your stomach, with the fatty meat and stuff you just watch what you eat and thats good for a muscle man like you :)

I would guess not... Im also 15, but im 5'8, i dont like fat on meats or butter, i weigh around 135.

It's better to eat a lot than to be anarexic...Just keep eating and make your parents proud.

Doesn't sound like an eating disorder to me.

Just try to eat more raw vegetables if you can. It's just healthier. Try not to be eating a ton of wheat.

It's not an eating disorder...bullemia, anorexia, those are eating disorders, you probably just have a high metabolism...research it

That is not alot at all. Your only 15 so your growing, thats y your eating. Its ok your normal

Sounds like a pretty typical high carb/sugar diet of a teenager or young adult. God knows I used to eat that bad at your age. You're skinny because you're young.

You say you limit your sugary foods but you ate 6 cups of sugary cereal? You don't eat a lot of fat, but you can eat a whole pizza? Come on now...

you're probably skinny because you're 15 years old. your metabolism is raging! add on the 'very active' part and you're now a bottomless pit. enjoy while it lasts!!

if you are seriously concerned about it, go see a nutritionist. you sound like you're eating pretty healthy.

You are 15 and you are still growing and developing physically and mentally. It is NORMAL to be constantly hungry and to eat a lot.

I think that it is unhealthy for you to be so focused on your food consumption and your weight. As long as you are in shape and healthy AND as long as you exercise and don't eat fatty foods all the time, you will be FINE.

You may not, to truely figure out if you do, you must think, is there any specific reason why you want to eat more, is comforting to eat (besides to be full and not hungry). A lot of eating disorders ARE psychological.

As a basis of your being fit, muscle DOES weigh more than fat and its a lot more compact, so basically, you should really ask your gym teacher or someone who can see you and do a muscle density test or what not, as a lot of them are experienced professionals who love to give their opinions.

I cannot give you a full answer or a answer I can truely say this is right because I cannot see you, but I can say, that I would definately see a professional (gym teacher or fitness instructor is still my favorite and who I talked to about that kind of stuff).

Also you are a adolenscent and growing, so I will say that you're appetite has increased to fit the demands of bodily growth, maybe you can also judge if you're actually going to grow that tall by looking at your family members, try asking your family what they think the average of their families heights are and what they think you will grow to. People who grow tall EAT a lot. I did :D)

you becoming a grown as man, keep it up ( its called puberty)

You don't have anorexia, but you may have binge eating disorder. I doubt it though, because you didn't mention you felt bad after eating so much food or anything like that.

u say u dont eat alot of fat but a whole pizza can have more than 3500 calories

no... you prbly need to lose some weight lol
