Question: I am trying to find a quick yet effective way to lose the "baby ponch" from having kids. I am a mom of 4, and I am ready to tone up and slim down. I'm looking for the most effective way to lose the stomach fat, keep it off, and hopefully lose it somewhat quickly. Any answers (no smart @ss ones, please!) would be very much appreciated.

First, remember that there is no such thing as spot reduction. Fat develops in layers all over, and is burned in layers, when we do aerobic or cardio exercise. It is more concentrated in the belly area and so the last layers of fat will be around the belly. Sorry.
The best thing to do is to lift weights. This tones muscles and will make them more efficient in buring calories. The more dense your muscle tissue is the more fat you'll burn during cardio. You won't get big and muscular like a man, trust me.
Also, do core muscle group workouts that will strengthen abs, back, obliques to give you a leaner, more toned shape around your middle.
Doing cardio exercise is a must. Thirty minutes a day, five days per week.
Avoid sugary foods and anything containing high fructose corn syrup.
Avoid diets. Just eat healthy stuff, all day, don't go around hungry.

Well, that's it. I know this isn't news people like to get, because it takes hard work and dedication and it's not easy, but it is the most effective, healthiest, and best for you.

eat less calories than you burn.

stay away from sugar and sweets! keep it out of your diet and couple that with some serious cardio :)

do alot of cardio, you can always just start out going for easy 30 minute walks or buy an exercise tape. also do some crunches.. it's not going to come off fast so be patient!!

Lots of exercise and less fatty foods. My teacher she just had a kid like 4 months ago and she already back to her size she walked everyday and ate lots of fruits and vegetables. Good Luck!!!!!!!

I've had 3 kids and the best thing I did to loose the excess 'baby belly' was to do sit-ups. A lot of them. I read that Britney Spears does 100 a day to keep her belly toned up. While I can't do that many, at least some will work. I bought and used a Sender-tone too. It works in the same way except you can sit down doing anything. It does work as long as you remember to use it everyday and try and get longer and longer each time you use it.
