Is eating canned vegetable or soups the same as eating vegetables/soups from the!

Question: If not what changes?

Answers: If not what changes?

For many brands it is. This is b/c the veggies are picked and then canned, so they maintain most of their nutrients. (Frozen is great too!) The soups from the grocery store are probably canned of frozen and then warmed anyhow - I doubt they are making homemade soups for their cafe.
Now, some brands are not as good as others. I know Dole is a good brand of canned veggies.

Fresh is only better if you consume it VERY fresh - if you can purchase local produce -say at a farmers market then that is truly the BEST. But much of the produce we buy today has been trucked or flown in and is NOT at its freshest. SO in some cases frozen and canned has more nutrients because it is flash preserved hours after it was picked/harvested.

some nutrients are reduced during the canning process. So fresh is always better. Steam the veggies to maintain nutrients (don't boil them). I have read that frozen is actually better than canned as far as containing nutrients.

Fresh or frozen veggies are better due the high sodium content in canned.

Fresh uncooked vegetables have more vitamins and minerals in them then cooked vegetables. As for what supermarkets serve cooked compared to what comes in cans, I do not think there would be much difference because most likely the both come from a can

Totally not same...Canned food is lack of nutrient
